2017 RTCM Annual Meeting – Clearwater, FL
The Radio Technical Commission for Maritime services (RTCM) 2017 Annual Assembly Meeting and Conference was held in Clearwater Beach, Florida, May 7-12. Open to both members and non-members, the annual meeting provides an overall update on the changing world of maritime radiocommunications and associated matters. Programs include formal paper presentations, panel sessions, workshops, and meetings of RTCM Special Committees and other organizations. Meeting sessions are complemented by displays and demonstrations of the newest technology, equipment and services provided by RTCM member organizations.
Mark Johnson, President and CEO of Shine Micro, Inc., is a business leader closely linked to the growth and development of the AIS industry, and is on the RTCM Board of Directors.
Judy Johnson, CFO of Shine Micro, Inc. gave a featured presentation representing the International Marine Electronics Alliance (IMEA).
RTCM is an international scientific, professional and educational organization involved in maritime radionavigation and radiocommunication policy issues, regulatory changes, and technical standards development. RTCM Special Committees provide a forum in which government and non-government members work together to develop technical standards and consensus recommendations.
