Shine Micro both attended and presented at the annual Seattle AIS conference, for the second year running. Standing in for Alan Stewart of the Northern Lighthouse Board, Shine Micro President Mark Johnson was the featured speaker for the topic of AIS used on Aids to Navigation (AtoNs) and Search and Rescue Transponders (SARTs).

The Shine Micro booth featured demonstrations of the RadarPlus SM162B Class B AIS connected to a compact C-MAP chart-plotter and the RadarPlus SM1610 Long Range AIS Receiver selected by the US Coast Guard for the Nationwide Automatic Identification System (NAIS).
